    OverDrive - Advanced Sentry Mode for BYD Vehicles

    BYD Dolphin Surf Comfort in Lime Green

    Abgesehen davon, dass eine anlasslose 24/7-Überwachung des Fahrzeugumfelds zumindest in Deutschland nicht erlaubt ist (ich weiß, Tesla und andere machen es trotzdem, ändert aber nichts daran), dürfte das nur sinnvoll sein, wenn man BYD Connect gebucht hat oder im WLAN hängt, die 1GB dürften bei Video-Übertragungen recht schnell weg sein.

    Der Dolphin Surf hat nur hinten Park-Sensoren, daher wird die Auslösung an der Front und der Seite nicht funktionieren, was den Nutzen schon sehr einschränken dürfte. Ob das Infotainment-System überhaupt das gleiche wie im Seal ist, weiß ich nicht. Das im neuen Atto 3 Evo basiert z.B. auf Android Automotive, im Dolphin Surf läuft ein normales Android-Derivat. Auch wenn die Oberfläche ähnlich aussieht, muss das nicht alles das gleiche sein.

    Außerdem scheint es auch mit anderen Modellen nicht zu funktionieren, in dem Reddit-Thread hat das ansonsten wohl noch niemand zum Laufen bekommen.
